ITH Sweet-Pea QAYG Quilt Blocks

ITH Sweet-Pea QAYG Quilt Blocks

ITH Sweet-Pea QAYG Quilt Blocks

Today we are going to make ITH Sweet-Pea QAYG Quilt Blocks. These are lovely, easy to make quilt blocks. The blocks are 7″x7″ square so cut your fabric and batting 2″ larger all round. This will give you extra fabric to work with to complete your project. The running stitches edging the square keep the fabric taut while embroidering and are very easy to remove when the square is completed. I have also included an Accent Block which is only quilted should you want a plain block to complete your project:)

What You Will Need To Make Your ITH Key Fobs.

Hoop:7″x7″ or bigger

Thin Batting 9″x9″ per square

Poly-cotton Fabric 9″x9″ per square

Temporary Spray Adhesive

Pins

Marathon Threads as per Colour Chart

Let’s Get Started

1.Hoop up and stitch out the placement line onto the stabilizer. I used white so that it doesn’t show.

2. Take 1 piece of batting. Lightly spray with temporary adhesive and press in place. Lightly spray the batting with spray adhesive and press a piece of poly-cotton on to the batting. Gently press it in place with your hands. Pin the fabric and batting in along the outer edges away from the stitching area.

6. Put the hoop back in the machine and stitch the fabric in place. I stopped the machine here for the photograph. The machine will carry on and stitch out the quilting. Square done! Do the rest of the squares. Remove the running stitches and your squares are ready for your project. Your Accent Block is done all in one colour he same way.
